Life has always seemed to me like a plant that lives on its rhizome. Its true life is invisible, hidden in the rhizome. The part that appears above ground lasts only a single summer. Then it whithers away - an ephemeral apparition. When we think of the unending growth and decay of life and civilization we cannot escape the impression of absolute nullity. Yet I have never lost a sense osf something that lives and endures underneath the eternal flux. What we see is the blossom, which passes. The rhizome remains.

Daniela Busarello is Italo-Brazilian, living and working in Paris. Coming from a line of architects, she studied in Paris at the École du Louvre and the Beaux-Arts.

In her eyes, being an artist means taking an interest in Our Time. She observes humanity at sociological, philosophical and biological levels, advocating respect for all forms of Life regardless of their nature, creed, gender or nationality.

Her artistic choice is a metaphysical and abstract language, in order to provoke the observer to go beyond a pre-established knowledge.

Busarello immerses herself in the territories through experiences, observations and encounters - where she collects relics: water, minerals, plants; For the artist, more than just media, they are living pigments composed with ancestral knowledge. They are expressions of life, fertility and decay in their own right but they are also infallible witnesses of a place's past, present and future. Thus accentuating the unity formed by nature, the cosmos and the human, inseparable.

Busarello has participated in exhibitions at the Oscar Niemeyer Museum in Brazil, Fondazione dell'Alberto d'Oro and Istituto Veneto di Scienze Lettere ed Arti in Venice, Art Basel Design Miami in Basel, PAD Paris and London. Her work is part of private and public collections as Mobilier National, Fondation Thalie, Royal Collection of Jordan.

Currently, the artist is participating in the exhibition "Sentiences, , écouter le parfum de la couleur" at the Abbaye de Maubuisson, contemporary art site of the Val d'Oise Departmental Council - where she presents the installation Terræ.Spiritus.

Her current research focuses on experiments with a medieval method of transforming plants into pigments. She collected species from the Atlantic Forest on the sidewalks of a city of 3 million people in southern Brazil. She is currently working on five monumental paintings depicting her impressions of a recent expedition to the Brazilian Amazon.
